Handmade Bags

2021 I picked up some old yarn and half-finished projects that I had started in high school from my parent’s house and decided to use it all up. I started by making some handmade bags using different techniques.

The Zucca Bag

A harvest bag with variegated knit seed stitch paired with rust-colored single crochet. Features a drawstring that can be used to loosely cross the top and secure your harvest!

The Gualala Bag

I finished this bag during a weekend trip to The Sea Ranch and determined a fitting name would be Gualala - a neighboring town that gets its name from Pomo for "where the waters flow down."

The Gualala bag is intended to serve multiple functions - It can stand on its own as a decorative centerpiece or on the kitchen counter full of produce, and with it’s removable strap you can take it out to market or the garden to fill up with goodies.
